"With our thoughts we make our reality"
What
happens?
When you first
come for a treatment you will be asked to complete a confidential
health history sheet which we will discuss and to sign a medical
declaration.
You will be able to shower either before and/or after your
treatment.
The therapy room is warm, quiet, clean and calm. Soft ambient music is played and essential oils and crystals are used in the room to disperse negative energies.
During the
treatment you lie on a comfortable couch which is covered in clean
towelling and single use tissue. With body massage treatments you will
be given the privacy to undress to your comfort level. A full length
towel is placed over the parts of your body not being treated, unless
you prefer otherwise, for your modesty and comfort. I may move or adjust
your body at certain times or will tell you what is needed. I will also
check in with you regarding your comfort level and the level of pressure
being used. Feel free to change your position at any time to make
yourself more comfortable. Many people choose to just close their eyes
and relax, others prefer to talk. Ask questions at any time. The only
daft question is the one that isn’t asked.
After the
treatment you will be offered water and a period of time to come back to
earth and either shower and/or get dressed in privacy. After an initial
period of feeling slowed down, many people experience an increase in
energy that can last for days.
How long
will it last?
An appointment is
for 90 minutes. This allows time for a relaxing introduction in to a
full treatment addressing any specific issues and then a gentle
grounding afterwards.
What oils
are used?
For Swedish and
Deep Tissue Massage organic almond oil is used for the base oil and
essential aromatherapy oils are added to enhance relaxation or to
energise depending on your requirements. If you prefer not to use the
essential oils, then just the fragrance free base oil will be used. The
oil absorbs well in case you have other commitments after the massage.
An alternative is a moisturising, water based massage cream.
To get the most
out of your treatment and to take the best possible care of your self
afterwards you need to:
Reactions are
possible and are not a cause for concern, they are positive signs that
your body is responding to the treatment.
The Therapy room is in Walthamstow, E17 and is a 10min walk from Walthamstow Central which is at the end of the Victoria line.
